A moon chair that folds down to a bag you can actually carry and still takes 130 kg. 600D Oxford cloth over a carbon steel cross frame, a six-layer padded seat and back, and a deep wrap-around cushion so you can sit down properly instead of perching on a frame. 1.6 kg of chair in a 69 cm carry bag, with a side pocket for the phone and the keys.

Tested numbers: 1.6 kg net weight, 2.5 kg packed. 68 x 15 x 15 cm packed. 600D Oxford cloth, carbon steel frame, six-layer padded cushion. Rated to 130 kg (285 lbs). 67 cm tall, 47 cm wide, 36.5 cm seat height. Carry bag included. Four colourways - sand gold is the one photographed, matte black, khaki and off white are the same chair in other colours.

Where it earns its space: a lake at dusk, a campfire that turned out smaller than planned, the beach when the wind gets up, or the spot at the tailgate where folding stools never quite sit right.
